Things to do

Seek to do brave and lovely things that are left
undone by the majority of people. Give gifts of love and
peace to those whom others pass by.

Natural Renunciation and Discrimination

Bhakti, love of God, is the essence of all spiritual discipline. Through love one acquires renunciation and discrimination naturally.

Convert myself

You should transfer your attention from failure to success, from worry to calmness, from mental wanderings
to concentration, from restlessness to peace, and from peace to the divine bliss within. When you  attain this state of Self-realization the purpose of your life will have been gloriously fulfilled.
(Paramahansa Yogananda, "The law of Success")

THE IMPERFECTION OF TIME

Our history tears us to pieces. Drop it as you do a dream when you wake up.

The whole world is like Alice in Wonderland, a madhouse. As long as you see everything slide by in reasonable sequence, one thing firmly tied to another, you are a bound person. When you realize there is no sequence, no congruity, you are free.

Patience and Impatience

A person who is not afflicted by time - he alone has patience, endurance.

Do you know that patience is another name for eternity? Impatience is a state of mind that is to be condemned in every phase of life.

Do you know what is behind impatience? We are not willing to undertake as much trouble as we should. We want to get it over with quickly and get on to something else. Impatience can do you a great deal of harm.

The impossible dream

Lyrics to "The Impossible Dream" from MAN OF LA MANCHA (1972)

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go
To right the unrightable wrong
To love pure and chaste from afar
To try when your arms are too weary
To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest
To follow that star
No matter how hopeless
No matter how far

To fight for the right
Without question or pause
To be willing to march into Hell
For a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true
To this glorious quest
That my heart will lie peaceful and calm
When I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this
That one man, scorned and covered with scars
Still strove with his last ounce of courage
To reach the unreachable star
